If your dog is a part of your love story, why not let them inspire your wedding decor too? Whether your pup is attending the big day or simply starring in your hearts, weaving a few dog-themed touches into your wedding design is a beautiful way to honour the furry family member who’s been by your side through it all.
From playful to sentimental (and everything in between), here are some dog-themed wedding decor ideas that are stylish, personal and guaranteed to make guests smile.
Signature cocktails named after your pup
Turn your dog into the toast of the evening by naming a signature drink after them! Think:
- The Bailey Breeze
- Rosie’s Raspberry Fizz
- Milo’s Mojito
Pair it with a cute illustrated sign featuring your dog’s portrait and the recipe. It’s a conversation starter and a lovely way to include them in the reception.
Custom dog-inspired signage
Add a playful and personalised touch to your signage by incorporating paw prints, illustrations or phrases like:
- “Welcome to our paw-ty!”
- “Sit. Stay. Celebrate.”
- “Love is a four-legged word.”
Directional signs with cartoon versions of your pup or silhouettes pointing the way can guide guests while making them smile.
Dog-inspired cake toppers
Top off your wedding cake with a mini figurine of your dog alongside you and your partner. You can even have your pup playfully “sneaking a bite” of the cake in the topper design for a fun twist!

Table names inspired by dogs
Instead of traditional table numbers, name your tables after different dog breeds, famous dogs or your own pet’s favourite toys and places.

Memory corner or “doggy dedication” display
If your dog can’t be there on the day — or if you're honouring a beloved pet who’s passed — you can still include them with a special dedication.
Set up a memory table with photos, their collar or leash and a sign that reads something like:
- “Forever in our hearts and by our sides.”
- “Celebrating with us in spirit.”
It’s a heartfelt way to honour their role in your life and relationship.
